We offer in person and online tutoring.
Who are we?
The Professional Tutoring Partnership brings together a lead organisation, Real Group, with three specialist teacher professional bodies and two charities: Patoss, The Dyslexia Guild, British Dyslexia Association and the Helen Arkell Dyslexia Charity. The partnership’s strength lies in our combined experience alongside the highly-qualified teacher membership of professional bodies and Real Group’s background in school liaison and service delivery. Together, our partnership provides extensive experience of working with schools and supporting education settings.
Our inclusive tutoring model targets all children and young people and will improve engagement and the application of metacognitive strategies in the classroom.
We look forward to working in partnership.

Tutors hold accredited specialist SpLD teacher qualifications and professional body membership with PATOSS, BDA, or The Dyslexia Guild, over 75% have QTS/QTLS.
How do we recruit our tutors?
Specialist teachers are recruited from the membership of professional bodies Patoss, BDA, Dyslexia Guild, accreditation at levels 5 or 7 is a minimum standard.
We adhere to safer recruitment standards, tutors are DBS and debarred list checked and provide a CV and satisfactory references.
They complete update training in safeguarding.
How do we train our tutors?
Tutors are qualified specialists, with additional training in our evidence-based NTP tutoring model.
Training is focused on young people’s engagement with learning. Tutors are given a toolkit to support planning of session content.
They are supported by professional mentors from Patoss, BDA and The Dyslexia Guild who provide support and monitoring.
How will we communicate with you?
Our school liaison team provides a point of contact for schools. The school liaison team ensures school requirements are matched to tutor availability.
Once matched, our tutors liaise directly with teachers to plan tuition content.
Teachers can log into our tuition tracker to share classroom updates and track children’s progress.
How will we keep track of pupil progress?
Our tutors are skilled in assessing literacy or numeracy. This informs tuition content.
Our programme focuses on pupil engagement and the meta-cognitive skills underpinning successful learning. Tutors assess these skills and record progress on our tuition tracker, accessible to schools.
Children’s strategies for learning are shared to inform future teaching.
Schools interested in receiving tuition or with any questions about the tuition model offered, including costs, should enquire via this form.
